What are your hours of operation?

6:30 am - 6:30 pm Monday through Friday.

What age children do you accept?

Children beginning with ages 6 weeks through 12 years.

Is there internet viewing of my child at your center?

Yes, our internet viewing system can connect parents and family members to their child while at work or thousands of miles away. Through a secured internet site and unique password you can observe your child´s daily activities through your computer. The same cameras are fed to the front desk for additional monitoring by administrative staff.

Is your staff trained?

Yes, Kids R Kids meets or exceeds state regulations that apply to training. All staff are trained in First Aid/CPR, Infectious Disease Control, Injury Prevention, and Child Abuse Awareness. Additional training in curriculum, child development, classroom arrangement, classroom management, age appropriate activities, nutrition and OSHA regulations provide the skills needed to create a quality learning environment. The staff is encouraged to further their education through CDA and CCP programs and are given opportunities to attend professional training conferences. In addition, staff are incentivized through a bonus program to get 8 additional training hours per year.

Are meals and snacks provided?

Yes, we serve hot meals and nutritional snacks. Our school is equipped with a full-service kitchen and staff trained in nutrition, USDA guidelines, and proper portions for young children.

Is playtime/outdoor time available?

Yes, we have four seperate age-appropriate playgrounds. The children have scheduled times in the morning and the afternoon to explore their outside world. We adhere to all licensing saftey standards and perform daily checks to of the playgrounds to ensure the areas are safe. Our camera monitoring system also covers all of our playground areas.

Is transportation provided to local schools?

Yes, our centers have full sized school buses with seat belts to transport children to and from school in the morning and afternoon. Please call for an updated list of schools we service. 

Kids 'R' Kids East Allen supports these elementary schools with after-school bus transportation: Roundtree, Reed, Boyd, McCall, Vaughn, Bolin, Chandler, Olson, Anderson, Story. You can also these schools for availability as we sometimes pick up from these schools and sometimes we don’t: Hart, Marion, Olson.

Are field trips offered for the children?

Yes, our buses are available for area field trips. We have field trips scheduled throughout the summer, on many school holidays and at various times throughout the year.

What holidays does Kids R Kids close for?

We close 8 days a year in observance of the following holidays: New Year`s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday after, Christmas Day, and either Christmas Eve or the day after Christmas. These days are subject to change based on how the calendar falls.

What is the Kids R Kids policy for bad weather closings?

We will follow Allen ISD closings/delayed openings. If we are NOT open, you can find out by the homepage of this website, watching Channel 5, going to www.nbc5i.com, or by calling Kids R Kids and listening to the voicemail. If there are no indications in any of these places that we are closed, then we will be open. Please note that we may have a late opening.

How can I get more information about enrolling my child?

We are glad you are interested in finding out more about our schools. You can use the contact form , and we will contact you as soon as possible. Additionally, you are welcome to come by for a tour anytime or call us directly to get more information. We look forward to meeting you when you come in for a tour.

What paperwork is required to enroll my child?

Fill out the Child Enrollment Package located in the "Online Forms" page of this site (click on Pre-Registration, then Online Forms). The Health Information page of the enrollment package must be filled out by the child`s physician (not required for school age children). You will also need a copy of your child`s updated shot records(not required for school age children).

What does my child need to bring on his first day of school?

All children need a naptime blanket as well as two extra pairs of clothes- labeled with the child`s first and last name. For children who are not potty trained, bring diapers/pull-ups (we provide baby wipes) and baby food if needed.
